K picked the last takoyaki, and gave it to me. Priceless.

Mrs. Y called Takoyaki for dinner today. This is the first time using the takoyaki plate which was given by my mother. She won this plate in the golf competition as the supplementary prize. I had long time ago worked at the izakaya place as part-time cook. So, we decided who was in charge of cooking. Mrs. Y prepares all the foodstuff, takoyaki flour, octopus, veggies, and so on. Even the curry rice for backup… believe me, it is not big deal.
Well, have a look at the collage, put the base to the hole in the plate, M put Tako (octopus) there, K put veggies here. Scratch and put the hardened base ran off back into the hole, then roll the takoyaki in the hole to form the ball. A few rollings later, it’s done.
Mrs. Y said “not bad”.  Osomatsu samadeshita.
Kids were having fun.  Glad to see that.

Actually, today’s factory is not for the pancake, but the rice cake. Japanese traditionally make Ozoni in the beginning of the year, so we made rice cake. I have made sweat rice cake too. Sweat azuki beans (kind of jam) inside, and sugar mixed soy flour on it. Yum!
